Sponsoring children in foreign land came across my mind. I came to know about this thru an interview of Andy Lau. I admire his charitable, compasionate heart. Ever tot of sponsoring a child in Cambodia, thailand too. Whenever i see kids from this 2 countries i feel a special warmth tat i cant put into words.
First finding was http://www.sharingfoundation.org/roteang/index.html . The roteang orphanage. In 2000 TSF built a model orphanage where quality nutrition, medical care, hygiene and compassionate child care are standard. Children are admitted without regard for clinical status, such as HIV, hepatitis, syphilis, cerebral palsy, congenital anomalies or severe malnutrition, With many children now 3-5 years of age, a major 2004-5 project has been establishing a preschool at Roteang, with the help of two US volunteers who have trained Cambodian women to run it.
Below are some pictures of the kids in this orphanage :

At the playground ... *pOOR Kids.. dieases like HIV are inherited thru blood transfusion or their parents which they dint get a chance to choose to so i tink i shld be thankful tat im healthy and haf e necessities to live on. Unlike kids there some are prayin for more doners or sponsors who can prolong their life.
Sponsoring a child at Roteang Orphanage costs $1200 /year which includes nanny care, food, medical care and expenses. Children in the outside HIV/AIDS program cost $600 per year to sponsor to cover the cost of antiretroviral drugs, given twice a day by a representative of John Tucker's Maryknoll Program.
Every child, in all programs, will have one sponsor (or a sponsor group if you team up with friends). Every child is personally visited by TSF and every three months you will receive a photo update of your sponsored child.
Another orphanage tat caught my attention was Pattaya Orphanage Trust. It provides 180 residential care& education for orphans,up to 100 street kids and 220 socially disadvataged deaf or blind children and 200 disable young people. One can support the kids either by sponsoring the kids at 15 pounds a month or thru a regualr monthly gift of your choice. 15 pounds = abt S$45 (UOL students u guys shld noe e pounds conversion veri well ya ? haaa..) hmmm.. if i wan to sponsor the child i will haf to save $1.50 a dae.. HMM.. i nid to tink abt it, cos i nid to save for other needs as well...if you are interested to lend a helping hand , you may check it out from this webby. http://www.pattayaorphanage.org.uk/howtohelp/donations.cfm
